CREATING IMPACT WITH FILM
Impact producing focuses on creating measurable and positive social impact with films. This means identifying relevant social themes and audiences, developing partnerships with organizations and stakeholders, setting up educational and outreach programs, local screenings, and measuring & evaluating the impact of the film. The ultimate goal is to make films that go beyond entertainment.
Our mission is to empower people, communities, and organizations by using film as a means of change. Examples are ‘Bruce’, a TV documentary about an ex-prisoner that struggles to find his way back into society, and ‘Life upside down’, a documentary about a young talented breakdancer who, together with his family, fled from the war in Armenia to build up a new life in The Netherlands.
CREATING IMPACT
In our approach, we use the Doc Impact Field Guide & toolkit, a set of tools and guides designed to create impact for our projects. These are the steps to be taken.
STRATEGY
It all starts with formulating a strategy: How to deliver ambitious impact whilst creating a great artistic film and a project that is financially viable.
FUNDING
Finding the right financiers, budgeting, and writing a detailed project proposal describing the vision, goals, audience, marketing, and distribution of the project.
PARTNERSHIPS
Developing partnerships with organizations and stakeholders that benefit from the desired impact and who can contribute in knowledge, experience and network.
EXECUTION
This is when the magic happens. Enrolling the impact campaign, from organizing film screenings, to developing online commnity management.
EVALUATION
Creating insights for funders and partners via a report based on the impact goals of the campaign were qualitative and quantitative results of the project are described in detail.
