Life Upside Down premieres at the Netherlands Film Festival
Impressive documentary showcases the power of dance
On Thursday, September 21, the documentary Life upside down by Barbara de Baare will officially premiere at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht. Worldvisuals Film produces the documentary in co-production with HUMAN and tells the story of 14-year-old David, a talented breakdancer from Zwolle, who has great ambitions and a remarkable story.
Enchanting Dance
David is a young, talented breakdancer who captivates audiences with his moves. His mother, Mery, supports his ambition to reach the top. They do everything together. Although Mery fled her homeland, Armenia, as a teenager, the ongoing war still plays a significant role in the family’s life. David wants nothing more than to make up for what his mother has lost. However, he is at an age where he starts to doubt. Dancing and spinning, he searches for a way to connect with his emotions.
